DANGOTE CONFERRED WITH HIGHEST NATIONAL HONOUR IN BENIN REPUBLIC

CEOAFRICA gathered that Aliko Dangote has been conferred the Grand Commander of the National Order of the republic of Benin, the highest national honour in the Republic of Benin.

The award was bestowed by the President of Republic of Benin, Boni Yayi, at a ceremony held at the presidential complex in Cotonou.

President Boni Yayi while conferring the honour on the Africa’s richest man stated that the country was proud of the business exploits of Dangote in Africa and could ordinarily reward him to motivate him to do more and for others to emulate him.

Yayi described Dangote as a true son of Africa who deserve the award having proved his bravery in private sector, noting that the category of award conferred on Danote was reserved for presidents and heads of states of his country and that Dangote was the first person outside government to bag the award.

He however called on Dangote to invest in the country, pointing out areas of investment opportunities like power, agriculture, telecommunication, ports and aviation.
