The Super Eagle victory against the Ethiopian counterpart on Sunday has been described as a collective victory and a mission accomplished.
This is coming from the Super Eagle striker, Emmanuel Emenike, who secured the two goals that crowned the victory of the Nigeria at the 2013 World Cup Qualifier on Sunday.
In his words, “We prepared well for this game and we deserved the points. It was not all about me because this was a collective victory for us. We all worked hard as a team to show the spirit of champions,”
Emenike scored twice for the Eagles to take a 2-1 advantage into November 16 return leg in Calabar.
He however expressed hope that though the return leg will be tougher, the Super Eagles with the focus needed will wrap it up with another victory.
