For missing the friendly match against Brazil in China yesterday, the Zambian government has issued arrest warrants for three of its footballers.

CEOAFRICA sports desk gathered that TP Mazembe trio, Rainford Kalaba, Stoppila Sunzu and Nathan Sinkala, were said to be injured by their DR Congo club, but after proper examination, the Zambian FA said they should still travel with the team to China.

However, Mazembe requested that they should return with immediate effect, as the Zambian government took away their passports so that they would not go back to their club in Lubumbashi.

The players then managed to cross the border between the two countries and they are now back in DR Congo.

Meanwhile, the Zambian FA has written to Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) complaining that TP Mazembe did not released their players for the game.

Zambia lost the match in Beijing through goals from Oscar and Dede in the countries' first ever meeting.

The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations champions were playing their first game under 35-year-old interim coach Patrice Beaumelle, who took over eight days ago after Herve Renard left the job.
