CEOAFRICA gathered that Nyesom Wike, Minister for state education had yesterday faulted the critics of Nigeria’s first lady, Dame Patience over the conferment of honorary doctorate degree on her by a University in South Korea.

According to source, while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of College of Technology in Afe Babalola University in Ado Ekiti, the criticism he said was not only out of place but also devoid of common sense saying there was nothing wrong with the action of the first lady recieving the award during ASUU strike as long as it was the university that decided to extend such rewarding gesture to her.

The critics had said that it was ill-timed for the first lady to receive the award, when universities in the country were shut down because of ASUU strike.
