UK GDP HITS 0.8% IN THIRD QUARTER

The UK Office for  National Statistics disclosed that the country economic output rose by 0.8% between July and September, indicating a “fairly strong” performance across all sector.

The GDP figures showed that the third quarter figure builds on a 0.7% GDP rise in April-June, and its said to be the best quarterly performance since 2010.

The remark by Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne indicated that Britain’s hard work is paying off and the country is on the path to prosperity.

The figures for construction however is said were up 2.5% over the quarter, the second successive quarter of growth after a volatile performance over the past year.
