Over 34 people were injured while 11 death was recorded when a train crashed into a bus in Kenya.

CEOAFRICA gathered from the Nairobi Police Chief, Benson Kibui, that the bus crossed the railway line as the train came at high speed.

Kenyan Red Cross said some of the victims died at the scene of the accident, while others gave up the ghost at the hospital. The driver of the train survived the crash.

The 33-seater bus also hit a car during the morning rush hour accident, injuring the occupants.

The wounded were taken to three hospitals in Nairobi, with 17 of them requiring specialised treatment.
