News reaching the desk of CEOAFRICA.com states that the body of late former Chief of General Staff, Vice-Admiral Mike Akhigbe will arrive Nigeria tomorrow (Saturday).

This was revealed by the Nigeria’s Consul-General in New York, Amb. Habib Habu who said the remains of the deceased would depart New York tonight.

“Earlier on Friday, a church service in honour of the former Naval chief will take place at the Holy Family Church located at 315E, 47th Street in New York,’’ he said.

Habu also added that members of staff in the offices of the Nigeria Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Nigerian Consulate are to attend.

Akhigbe, 67, died on October 28 in New York. He was the deputy to Abdulsalami Abubakar 1998-1999 before democracy was restored in the country.
