News reaching CEOAFRICA said a LagBus with registration no: XP 962 AKD set panic among commuters at the Ojodu/Berger as it burst into flames shortly after driving into the station.

According to the report, the commuters fled in different directions as flames erupted from under the front wheels of the bus.

The driver, simply identified as Amuda, and other officials of the LAGBUS Asset Management Company, operators of the buses, however, were able to promptly bring the fire under control.

The report also said that a commuter, Mr. Oyewole Kayode, stated that some friction on the brake linings may have caused the fire.

Kayode, who claimed to be a technician, lauded the officials for putting out the fire, without any causality, describing the scene as an unfortunate as it can happen to anyone.
