The second Semi-Final game of the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup between Sweden and the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria got off to a wonderful start as both teams gave everything they had to win the encounter.

The Swedes tried to make some tricky play inside the box of the Nigerians, but the defence marshaled by Captain Musa Mohammed rose to the occasion by curtailing their attack.

In the 21st minute of the game, Taiwo Awoniyi got the breakthrough for Nigeria to make it 1-0 courtesy Kelechi Iheanacho’s tricky pass which caught the Swedes defence napping.

The first half ended with Nigeria dominating proceedings and edging closer to the final of the tournament.

Sweden came back stronger in the second half, but the Golden Eaglets really showed their golden stuff by thwarting all effort from Berisha-led attack.

The Golden Eaglets got the second goal of the game in the 80th minute when Okon put the ball beyond the reach of the Swedes goalkeeper from another deadly pass by Kelechi Iheanacho.

In the 81st minute, Ezeh made it 3-0 when he maneuvered his way through the compact Swedes defence.

Golden Eaglets will face Mexico in the Final of the tournament and Sweden will face Argentina for the bronze medal.
