The Commission of Police for Ogun State, Mr. Ikemefuna Okoye has beckon on all officers in the command to apply civility in their dealings with the community.

Okoye at his meeting the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in Ogun Senatorial District related that the purpose of the meeting was to sensitize them on the need to be civil with the public, especially on security related issues.

The police boss in his speech noted that security issue is a collective responsibility and thereby beckon on the officers to be friendly with the members of the public.

Okoye however appeal to the members of the community to persevere in supply the police with useful security information while also assuring the public of adequate security for their lives and properties adding that it is the main reason for his untiring effort to see that officers are doing it right.

He further pleaded with the officers to desist from using their position in intimidating the people but to o their job diligently to protect and guard them.
