As the impasse in the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) deepens, leadership of the party in the South West have said it categorically that Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola can’t return as the National Secretary of the party.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the above statement was revealed in a statement signed by the Acting Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the party in South West, Eng. Adedeji Doherty.

“It is the height of self-delusion for Oyinlola and his co-travellers to imagine that he would return as the National Secretary of our great party, the PDP when a Motion for Stay of Execution has been filed at the Court of Appeal and there is a pending appeal against him at the Supreme court.”

The statement further argued that Oyinlola has left the party for the new PDP, and on that basis, coupled with other anti-party acts that some of his loyalists were recently suspended by the Osun State Chapter of the party.
