President Goodluck Jonathan today, Wednesday stormed Anambra State in company of other bigwigs of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to flag off the campaign for the party’s candidate, Mr. Tony Nwonye ahead of the November 16 governorship poll in the state.

The flag off ceremony held at the Bascilica field, Holy Trinity Catholic Cathedral, Onitsha, witnessed large turnout of supporters.

This is coming barely four days after the Vice President, Namadi Sambo and the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur presented Nwoye with the party’s flag at the Ekwueme Square in Awka.

At the rally, President Jonathan said Tony Nwoye is the right man for the job and urged that Anambarians should turn out and vote for PDP on Saturday, November 16.

Also at the event, some members of the Labour Party declared their allegiance for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
