JONATHAN COMMISSIONS NEW POLICE HOUSING ESTATE, PROMISES TO RENOVATE BARRACKS

Men and women of the Police Force jubilate as President GoodLuck Jonathan commissions the new Police Housing Estate today at the Pipeline Road Idimu area of Lagos State.

President Jonathan at the event which marked the commissioning of the new Police Estate also named after the President, ‘GoodLuck Jonathan Police Housing Estate’ promised to see to the renovation of barracks across Nigeria.

Jonathan also stressed that he was going to look into the conditions of the barracks, with the aim of renovating and making them decent habitation for those serving the nation, adding that the Federal Government is going to replicate what is obtained at the Police College Ikeja in other areas.

The President pressed on to encourage that other government sectors should partner with private sector as what was achieved was as a result of Public Private Partnership.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed speaking at the event brought to the knowledge of the President that similar other projects are ongoing, appealing to him to assist in the building of more barracks for policemen.
