NDPHC HANDS OVER 7 NEW INJECTION SUBSTATIONS TO KANO ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION COMPANY

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) on Wednesday, handed over seven newly constructed injection substations to Kano Electricity Distribution Company (DISCO).

CEOAFRICA gathered that the new injection substations were said to be constructed under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) to improve electricity supply in Kano State.

The Managing Director of NDPHC, James Olotu, who handed over the projects at Challawa injection substation, Kano, said the projects would ensure efficient service delivery.

Olotu also stated that the government would continue to partner with private sector to ensure effective power supply in the country.

“With the private sector coming in, we hope to see a lot of improvement in the supply of power in the country,” he added.

Olotu however, commended stakeholders’ effort to ensure the success of the privatization programme of the power sector.
