The Commissioner for Education in Jigawa, Prof. Haruna Wakili, on Thursday in Dutse has said the state government has approved the establishment of additional 66 Junior Secondary Schools in the state.

According to report, Wakili said that the state currently has 356 junior secondary schools.

He also explained that the schools would be established across the 27 local government area of the state.

The commissioner further stated that, the government has also given the approval for the establishment of nine new senior secondary schools to the existing 135, adding that three of them would be girls’ secondary schools.

He  said the step was taken to make education more accessible in the state.

Wakili said Govenor Sule Lamido was committed to providing quality and affordable education to the people.
