A retreat on Electoral Matters is underway in Calabar, Cross River.

Welcoming guest and stakeholders to the retreat, the Executive Director, Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre, Mr. Clement Nwakwo, said the retreat could not have come a better time.

He expressed the hope that INEC would do everything possible to reduce the noticeable human errors that marred the Anambra election bearing in mind that the 2015 election and those of Ekiti and Osun States are all very important elections.

The programme Organized by the House of Representatives Committee on Electoral Matters in collaboration with the Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC),  is coming at a time when the nation’s electoral fortunes have taken a deep plunge following a dismal performance by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in last week’s governorship election in Anambra State.
