NIGERIA- Governor Muktar Ramala Yero of Kaduna State, Nigeria, yesterday, flagged off the training of 7,600 youth and women across the 23 local government areas of the state on various skill acquisition and agricultural empowerment programmes.

In a statement signed by the Director General Media to the Kaduna State Government, Ahmed Waiyaki, the governor declared that the programme would be continuous, adding that Governor Yero is committed to making sure that youth restiveness was eliminated in the state.

“Other programmes are still coming up. The government is working and exploring other avenues that will engage the youth and women in the state,” he said.

Mr. Ahmed said that on completion of the programme, every participant would be supported with a package, comprised of tools and a stipend, that would help them become self-reliant, productive and socially developed.
