The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Chief Nyerere Anyim, has called on critics of the present administration to stop crucifying President Muhammadu Buhari over the recession in the country.

Instead, they should hold the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which, he said, was responsible for the country’s woes because recession did not set in overnight.

According to Ceoafrica, the APC chieftain who made the call at his country home in Obingwa, at the weekend said that he did not consider what Nigerians are passing through as recession because market forces are still vibrant and that Nigerians are only suffering from consequences of misdirection bequeathed them by the PDP.

“Nigeria would soon see the positive impact of a sound economy that will stand the test of time; the President came and saw what is on ground and said if things continued like that, the country will collapse.”
