Hon. Sugar to give Free Surgery to 2000 People for Val

As part of the commitment to improve health conditions, alleviate poverty and improve self-reliance among the poor masses in Oyo State, Honourable Olatoye Temitope Sugar, representing Lagelu / Akinyele Federal Constituency, is set to give free health care and surgery to 2000 people in Oyo State to mark the 2017 Valentine’s Day Celebration.

Hon. Temitope Sugar, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning for the Federal Republic of Nigeria, made this disclosure to CEOAfrica.

According to the Hon. Sugar, the 2017 Valentine Celebration Programme, organised on the platform of the Olatoye Sugar Foundation (OSF) is the 10th edition of the annual event where thousands of physically challenged and the less privileged are empowered yearly through skills acquisitions.

CEOAfrica gathered that in addition to its usual empowerment scheme, this year’s programme, scheduled to hold from 4th to 14th of February will feature special programmes for the beneficiaries. Among the special features of this year’s valentine’s Programme is free surgery for 2000 people across the state and the treatment of various illnesses like; fibroid, cataract, etc. by doctors from South Africa.

Hon. Sugar explained that the hospital where the free medical care will be dispensed is the Catholic Hospital, Oluyoro, Oke-Ofa, Ibadan, adding that the free treatments will be made available from the 4th to 13th of February. Sugar encouraged the good people of Oyo state to take advantage of this free medical scheme which is organised in the spirit of the season.

The Honourable noted that the climax of the event will hold on the 14th of February at Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) ground where youths, widows, underprivileged and physically challenged people will be empowered.
