Citizens in the African country of Libya are experiencing record levels of insecurity six years on since the start of the revolt in 2011 which ultimately toppled Muammar Gaddafi's regime.
According to Ceoafrica, the insecurity across the country is made worse by a battered economy and bitter political rivalries.
The process that led to Gadafi's downfall started with a mass protest in Benghazi on 15th of February 2011, before demonstrations and armed fighting spread to cities across Libya.
A resident said “we got rid of one dictator to end up seeing 10,000 others appearing to fill the void”.
