The Oyo state governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi has expressed his appreciation to the good people of Oyo state for the love and support they have shown to him and his family since he came into power as Governor of the state.

The Governor stated this while speaking at his 64^th birthday celebration at the Lekan Salami sports complex Adamasigba Ibadan.

Senator Abiola Ajimobi who was full of excitement thanked God for sparing his life to see a day like this adding that he was overwhelmed by the love shown to him by the people. The governor also used the forum to ask for the forgiveness of anyone he has offended.

In his remark at the event, the chairman of the event ambassador Olusola Sanu disclosed that he believes in the progress of the state and applauded the governor for the good works he is doing in the state.

He encouraged the governor to continue in his transformation drive and not be distracted by those who do not believe in the progress of the state.

Ambasador Sanu also prayed for good health, long life, success and protection for the governor in all he does.

The event was graced by traditional rulers among whom is the Alafin of Oyo His Imperial Majesty Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Aare Musulumi of Ibadanland Alhaji Arisekola Alao, APC Oyo state chairman Chief Akin Oke, Oyo state deputy governor Mr. Moses Adeyemo, Speaker of the Oyo state house of assembly Alhaja Monsurat Sumonu amongst others who prayed for long life, God’s blessings and protection for the governor and his family.

The occasion also withnessed a large turnout of APC party supporters, indigenes, friends as well as well wishers of the governor from both within and outside the state.
