The Oyo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation Pastor Taiwo Otegbeye will embark on "Grassroot Mobilization Initiative tour as part of the efforts directed towards sensitizing the general public to the various impactful and people- oriented programmes of the present administration.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation Pastor Taiwo Otegbeye said this in Ibadan while briefing newsmenon the need to sensitize citiens of the state on the activities of the state government.

Hon. Otegebeye will embark on "Grassroot Mobilization Initiative tour" to Iwajowa local government on Thursday 25th July, 2013 and Kajola local government on Friday 26th July, 2013.

According to the Commissioner, the platform will serve as a veritable means to carry out messages, mobilize and educate the citizenry about the policies, programmes and activities of the State Government with a view to enhance effective communication and get adequate feedback from the public.

He said that during the "Grassroot Mobilization Initiative tour", the Commissioner is expected to give indepth and detailed explanations on the urban renewal programme, beautification of major towns and cities, poverty alleviation programme, environmental sanitation, job opportunities, provision of qualitative education and scholarship and bursary award for the indigent student and security of life and property amongst others.
