Governor Jang Presents N228 Billion Appropriation Bill to Plateau Assembly

NIGERIA (Plateau) – A budget proposal of N228 billion has been proposed by the Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang for the year 2014.

While presenting the Appropriation Bill which was tagged “Budget of Continuity and Inclusive Growth IV on Thursday to the State Assembly, Governor Jang urged the citizenry to promptly and always pay their taxes to enable government meet its obligations.

Jang maintained that the budget would focus on the completion of on-going projects/programmes and the consolidation of the gains made in the implementation of his administration’s Ten Point Agenda anchored on the Three Pillar Policy, also of his administration.

Reviewing the spending of the outgoing year, Mr. Jang said, “In my 2013 budget address to this honourable House, I presented to you the Budget of Consolidation and Inclusive Growth III. The Budget had a size of N136, 641,706,788 only. This was made up of N48, 664,000,774  only as Recurrent Expenditure. Capital Expenditure was N87, 977,700,014 only.”
