Veteran Nollywood actor cum Director, Desmond Elliot, has declared his intention to join politics and contest in 2015 general election.

Desmond declared his interest for the Surulere Federal Constituency in the National House of Representative.

The dark-complexioned actor said he was motivated to join politics because of the need to transform the society for good.

According to him, the society needs a change agent, hence his willingness to freely offer himself for such service.

Should he achieve his dream, he will be toeing the line of actors cum enrtertainers who have made the giant leap into politics, like famous Yoruba movie actor, Rotimi Makinde and another Nollywood star , Tony One Week, who are both Honourable Members at the National Assembly.
