Gombe Donates N58 Million to Christians for Christmas

NIGERIA (Gombe) –Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, on Saturday, announced a sum of N58 million donation to Christians in the spirit of Christmas.

According to the governor, the money would be shared within four Christian-dominated local governments which are; Balanga, Billiri, Kaltungo and Shongom, making up Gombe South Senatorial District.

Governor Dankwambo, while announcing the donation during his visit to the district, said party officials, traditional rulers, religious leaders and other stakeholders in the area had also been given money to assist them during the Yuletide.

He also announced government’s plans to permit chairmen to recruit 20 youths in each of the 11 local government areas of the state next year with a view to empowering them.

The governor called on the people of the state to ensure peace and harmony among themselves for government to provide them with democratic dividends.

Those that accompanied the governor on the tour included the Senator representing Gombe South, Joshua Lidani, and the representative from Balanga/Billiri Constitency, Manu Swa.
