I started hawking at 7 years - CEO, First Laurel Investment

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of First Laurel Investment Ltd Mr Babalola Babatunde Taoreed, has disclosed that he started hawking to support his mother at the age of seven years

He made this disclosure during an interview on ‘Meet your African CEO’, a programme on CEOAfrica Television

Mr Babatunde who was revealing the challenges he went through as a kid, stated that he learnt the art of trading as a very young child.

Recalling that he lost his father six days before he was born, Mr Babatunde explained that the loss of his father put a lot of strain on his family which necessitated his involvement in petty trading at a very young age.

He further noted that he was involved a lot of menial jobs to provide for his family and to sponsor himself through school.
