NIGERIA (Benue) – The Minority Leader of the Senate, George Akume  has disclosed that the mass defection of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lawmakers into the All Progressives Congress (APC) is far from over, as over 31 more House of Representatives members will defect to the party in January.

The Benue Senator made this declaration yesterday in Makurdi, shortly after a thanksgiving mass to mark his 60^th birthday anniversary.

Akume also said that no one has any constitution right to declare the seat of legislators who defected from PDP to APC at the national assembly vacant.

After the Holy Mass, Akume paid a courtesy visit to the General Hospital in North Bank and offset the medical bills of all the patients on admission.

He also donated undisclosed amounts to the patients and nurses on duty.
