CAMEROUN – The Cameroun’s Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has commenced serious hunt for players of Cameroonian origin to make themselves available for the Indomitable Lions as the country await the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The federation has penciled down Axel Ngando, 20, Auxere, Samuel Umtiti, 20, Lyon, and Jean-Christopher Behebeck at Valenciennes as main targets of the quest.

Another Auxerre player Paul-Georges Ntep de Madiba, 21, is also a target as Cameroun seek to strengthen their squad for Brazil.

"We want to convince them to play for Cameroon, notably in the World Cup but also in the future," Fecafoot said in a statement.

"The idea is to clarify their status and then seek FIFA permission to change their nationality."

Cameroun will be competing at their seventh World Cup and have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Brazil, Croatia and Mexico.
