SCAPTION Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime
The Chairman, Oyo State Muslim Committee Alhaji Isiaq Kunle Sanni and Former Chief of Staff to Oyo state Governor Dr Saka Balogun has called on the federal and state government to expedite actions on the ongoing Oyo-Ibadan express road and find a lasting solution to crisis rocking Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso.
The duo speaks at the 5th edition of Senator Buhari Abdulfatai Ramadan lecture held in Ogbomoso on Sunday.
Alhaji Sanni said all the Federal Lawmakers in the state should ensure the road is completed before the expiration of their tenure in 2019.
Saka Balogun who served in the government of Alao Akala expresses dissatisfaction with the crisis Rocking Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Ogbomoso saying “ LAUTECH is our Legacy we cannot allow it to waste away “.
In his welcome address the chief host, Senator Fatai Buhari said the issue of development should be everybody’s concerns and call for more commitment and dedication from all and sundry in moving the country forward
While speaking on the lecture topic “ Impacting Virtue on the Youth; The way forward by the Ulamas” The Senator said the youth deviated from the righteous path that will make a better society because of the negligence on their parents who failed to give good moral and spiritual guidance while growing up.
The guest lecturer Dr Sobour Ghali Alaya in his lecture said for a better society to emerge both the youths and the aged should be determined to walked according to the dictate of Almighty Allah and do what is just “
Dignitaries at the event include the executive governor of Oyo State Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial district Sen Rildwan Adesoji Akanbi, Senator Monsurat Sumonu, Minister of National Planning Professor Sulaiman Abubakar, Deputy Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Abdulwasil Musa, former chairman Oodua group , Barrister Sarafadeen Alli , former House leader of the PDP, Hon Mulikat Akande Adeola.
Others include, Chairman Oyo State Muslim community, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, former chief of staff to Oyo state Governor, Dr Saka Balogun, serving commissioners, Local government chairmen from various council in the state, top government officials, notable politicians, traditional rulers as well as Islamic scholars and preachers.
