Prof Toyin Falola
A Professor of African Studies at the University of Texas, Professor Toyin Falola will on Saturday 8th July, 2017, be making an appearance at CEOAfrica, an online media platform.
Appearing as a guest on the platform’s online television programme, ‘Community Today, Prof Falola will be discussing about issues related to African Culture and its studies.
The media chat which would hold at the CEOAfrica Building at 24, Kudeti Avenue, Onireke, Ibadan, will witness the presence of journalists from other media organisations who will engage the Professor on topics relating to African History.
Prof Falola who had his first degree in History from the University of Ile-Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, is a prolific researcher with numerous publications in the field of African History.
The Ibadan-born scholar is a fellow of the Historical Society of Nigeria and of the Nigerian Academy of Letters. He is currently the Jacob and Frances Sanger Mossiker Chairman in the Humanities at the University of Texas at Austin.
Prof Falola is a recipient of various awards and honours, including the Jean Halloway Award for Teaching and Excellence; the Texas Teaching Award; the Ibn Khaldan Distinguished Award for Research Excellence and the Distinguished Fellow, Ibadan Coral Group.
