The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State on Thursday deepened  when a chieftain of the party, Alhaji Rasheed Adebisi Olopoenia alleged that the Minister of State of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide is not loyal to the ongoing peace process been embarked upon in the state.

Olopoenia who disclosed this  while speaking with journalists  on the reconciliation going on in the party,  said it was  unfortunate that the minister who only came into reckoning in the state political calculation because of her appointment  could be arrogated relevance to herself.

According to him, every indication has now clearly pointed to the fact she is not loyal to the resolution of crisis in the state. "I can describe her as a traitor because she's been frustrating all efforts to reconcile all stakeholders in the state.”We have one PDP in Oyo State with Alhaji Yekeen Adeojo as the leader, state secretariat along Elizabeth road and Yinka Taiwo

as the authentic party chairman. But she continues to singularly operate the

factional office in Yemetu, Ibadan.

"She has not used her position as Minister to benefit the lots of most party members in the state, instead she's been busy forming groups and enriching them against the general interest."I think she should be wiser by now that individual efforts make no impact in politics, but a team work. Those she has refused to relate with politically are tested politicians with success in elections, and they could assist her to break the political jinx she is struggling with," Olopoenia said.

On the desperation, Olopoenia stated that "I think the Minister wanted to be the first person in the Akinjide family to win an elective position, but despite that,she should ask why those before her had not been successful. Politics is a team work and not and individual game. "Whoever believes he is too smart to relate with his party men will end up being a loser, she should know better by now," he said.

The PDP chieftain thus advised the Minister not to allow her marital political juggling which she is jealously protecting affect the fortune of PDP in Oyo State, especially, the on-going moves to reclaim the state come 2015.
