Thirty-year-old Carpenter, Lekan Ogundele has been electrocuted at Amijoko Compound, Isale Oyo, Oyo State. The deceased was replacing damaged roofing sheet with new one in his house when he stepped on life wire.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Olabisi Ilobanafor who confirmed the incident in Ibadan on Thursday, said the deceased was confirmed dead at Opabode Hospital, Oyo.

She said police team visited the scene of the incident, adding the corpse had been deposited at State Hospital for autopsy.

She disclosed that investigation into the matter is still ongoing. According to her, the incident was reported at the police station by one Alhaji Tiamiyu Adejare from Amijoko Compound, Isale Oyo.
