Police arrest First Bank staff over N14m fraud

A staff of the First Bank in Ibadan, Oyo State, Mr. Akala Jerry has been arrested over alleged N14,000,000.00 fraud.

 

The suspect who works at the Apata branch of the bank was arrested on Thursday. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Olabisi Ilobanafor who confirmed the arrest in Ibadan on Friday, said a manager with the bank, Mr Michael Famuyiwa reported the case of fraud at the bank.

 

She said the suspect had been detained while the case had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for investigation. The PPRO said “I want to use this medium to advice the people of Oyo State to avoid anything that will put them into crime because the Oyo State Police Command under the able-leadership of CP. Muhammad Indabawa is determined to sustain the current peace in the Oyo State.
