In Kaduna, No fewer than 103,000 students from 1,300 public and private schools would sit for the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination.

 The Director of the state’s education Resource Centre (ERC), Hajiya Talatu Mustapha, said in Kaduna that the examination that commenced on July 28 would end on Aug. 4.

Mustapha explained that the centre was responsible for planning, organizing and conducting the examination that would certify the students for the senior secondary school education.

She commended the state government for the support in ensuring that necessary logistics were provided for the conduct of the examination.

The director cautioned the students against examination malpractices and equally warned management and proprietors of schools against aiding such acts.

On his part, the Deputy Director Schools, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mr Aliyu Idris, said that arrangements had been put in place to ensure a hitch free exercise.

 Idris called on zonal officers, schools principals and teachers to ensure the success of the exercise. “I am equally calling on the students to conduct themselves appropriately while writing the exams and adhere to all examinations guidelines. “

During his inspection to the centers, “We will go round everyday to monitor the conduct of the examination to ensure a smooth exercise,” Idris said.

Schools participating In the examination collected materials at zonal offices in the early hours of Friday. The examination was going on smoothly in most of the centers visited.
