Road Accident Claims 11 Lives in Kenya

KENYA- Four people have died while eight others are admitted at Tenwek Mission Hospital after a 14 seater Matatu they were travelling in collided with a trailer at Chepole along the Bomet-Kaplong highway.

Three passengers in the Matatu died on the spot while one succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at the Tenwek Mission Hospital.

Meanwhile in a separate incident, 7 people have died while 15 casualties in critical condition are receiving treatment at the Chogoria Hospital after the accident that occurred in Wiru along the Chogoria-Chuka highway.

Initially six people died on the spot with 16 being taken to hospital. One more succumbed to injuries in the course of treatment. Both hospitals are appealing for blood donations from the public as the casualties are in need of transfusion.
