The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur has labelled the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a coalition desperate persons whose only mission is to take power for ulterior purposes.

Dr Bamanga Tukur, who stated this yesterday in a New Year message, also called on Nigerians to rise to the challenge of the year 2014 by dedicating their efforts towards the promotion of the culture of decency and decorum in politics.

While calling for decorum in the political sphere, the PDP national chairman said: “There is a desperate political coalition in the country now known as the APC whose stoke in trade is insults, attacks and lack of decorum because the party and her membership have nothing to offer the people of Nigeria; only a desperate plan to take over power at all cost.

“The APC which is the opposition party has failed so far to present any reasonable programme to seriously challenge the PDP,” just as he urged the leadership of the APC to exhibit some sense of political decorum.

While expressing the confidence that 2014 would be a glorious year for Nigeria, he advised politicians to engage in politicking with decorum in order to avoid overheating the social and religious sectors of the country.

Dr. Tukur urged Nigerians to emulate the sense of acceptance of divergent view by the President, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
