Osun 2014 Governorship Election: Three Aspirants Battles for PDP Ticket

NIGERIA (Osun) – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osun State Chapter, has revealed that three of its members have indicated their interests to vie for the governorship ticket of the party in the forthcoming election in the state.

The above statement was said by the Chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa during a media chat with journalists in Osogbo, on Wednesday.

He said as at the deadline of December 31, 2013 set by the party for the purchase of form, just three persons picked the forms at the rate of N5 million each.

According to him, the names of those aspirants are as follows; Hon Oluwole Oke who hails from Obokun Local Government Area, Sen. Olasunkanmi Akinlabi from Ayedaade Local Government Area and Sen. Iyiola Omisore hails from Ife East Local Government Area.

While Oke was a former member House of Representatives member, Akinlabi was a former Senator and one time Minister.

Omisore was a former Deputy Governor and former Senator.

Olaoluwa therefore assured the aspirants that the party would give them a “level playground”.
