On Senator Isah Misau';s Alleged Desertion from the Nigeria Police, the information credited to the Police Service Commission (PSC) that proved to the contrary the IGP';s position, should bring about some concerns not only about the corporate integrity of the Force and its hierarchy especially that of the person of the IGP following the corruption allegation of the Senator on the person of the IGP.
I';m personally touched that the IGP did not do his homework as Numero Uno Corp in the land by verifying his claim before wrongly alleged the Senator of absconding from the Force and bringing it to the public. Or, can a conclusion be drawn that the PSC has been compromised? Or better put, did the Senator was too sure of his facts?
If for any reason, the mission of the IGP was to hit back at the Senator in order to silence him, the PSC has given him a clean bill of health. The onus, now lies with the IGP to come clean out of the Senator';s allegation of corruption.
As long as the IGP keeps mute, the allegation will rest squarely on the Corporate image of the Force like an albatross. This, could further water down public acceptance of the Force. Waiting for the IGP to disprove the PSC';s submission.
