Thirty-three- year- old and father of four, Solomon Madu has been arrested by men of the Enugu State Police Command over alleged child theft.Three other people were also arrested in connection with the alleged kidnap of the little boy. Madu who hails from Onoli Awgu in Enugu State, was alleged to have went away with the six- month- old and suddenly disappeared.

The wife after waited for some time without seen her husband and baby, became worried and started looking for them When the hope was no longer coming, the wife went to Awgu Police Station and reported a case of alleged kidnap of his son and the husband.

According to her, they have been kidnapped as the last call received from the husband depicted that owing to how the husband answered and the consequent request of a ransom by the kidnappers. It was gathered that following the report made to the police, the commissioner of police Adamu Abubakar Mohammed directed  operatives of the Anti- kidnapping Unit of the state command which swung into action and tracked Madu  from where he claimed and was taken to. Madu is now helping the operatives in their investigations as he had revealed where the baby boy was taken to in Umunze orumba North in Anambra State.

He had arranged with one Roseline Adaorah from Umuoche village in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Through the link person,  identified as Chima Okah,  a medicine vendor at Obosi but claimed she hails from Ikwo local Government Area of Ebonyi State, The game plan was  how to receive N500,000, as against N1 million he placed for the sale of the baby boy. Meanwhile, an investigation into the case was in full scale, as the baby had also been recovered from the alleged buyers as well as the arrest of Roseline Adaorah and Chima Okah.

Solomon Madu further revealed that he has to sell his baby boy whom he namedMunachim Solomon, in order to raise money because of hardship. He also maintained that he was not actually kidnapped but had to feign kidnapping to enable him convince the wife so as to have the opportunity to sell the baby boy. Madu  and the wife were having three kids together with little Munachim solomon that the father allegedly placed on sale.
