A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered Governor Willie Obiano to stop parading himself as the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and gubernatorial candidate for the November 18, 2017 governorship election in the state, a report from Elombah

“The presiding judge delivered a ruling to serve Governor Obiano through substituted means on a prayer asking him to stop parading himself as the governorship candidate of APGA in the November 18th Anambra gubernatorial election,” the report by  elombah said.

APGA, the ruling party in Anambra, is factionalised, with Victor Oye leading the faction that produced Obiano as candidate while the faction led by Martin Agbaso produced a different candidate.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, recognises Obiano as the candidate of APGA.
