NIGERIA (Abuja)- The former Bauchi State Governor, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, has been appointed as the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mu’azu, according to news reaching CEOAFRICA.com from a source at the party's National Working Committee (NWC) said he was selected as the consensus candidate after a meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and the governors of the party yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He is to replace the former Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who resigned from office last week.
