50bn Health Endowment Fund: PSN donates Drugs to Oyo State government

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Oyo State Branch today donated drugs worth three hundred and forty four thousand naira (N344,000) in fulfillment of their two hundred and fifty thousand naira (#250,000) pledge made  to Oyo State  government  at the lunching of  N50bn  Health Endowment Fund in August 2017.

Pharm. Abiodun Ajibade, the Chairman, PSN Oyo State Branch while donating the drugs said the gesture is in line with the states government determination in strengthening the healthcare delivery and better living for the people.

‘’We understand that healthcare without drugs is an empty exercise and given our strength in pharmaceuticals we believe our contribution in this regard shall be continuous exercise. We will also ensure adequate support of our members to the government programmes on health,’’ he said.

Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan, the Honourable Commission of Health Oyo State in his response thanked the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Oyo State Branch for the gesture and promised that the drugs will be used judiciously especially at the primary healthcare centres across the state and also pledged the state government continuous collaboration with PSN Oyo State Branch to make health care accessible to all in Oyo State.
