The Christmas and new year holidays has come to an end and work has finally kicked off for both workers and students. The official resumption for both primary and secondary schools in Ibadan ,  oyo state  commenced  today and  the city seem to have returned back to its normal norms as there was massive traffic at some main areas within the city this morning.
Places like Ring road , Mokola, Iwo road, Ojoo, Apata and many others, experienced huge traffic as there were many people using the road . Gazing around, all the busstops within the city were full of students dressed in their well - tailored and ironed uniforms waiting for cabs and buses.
The cab drivers and bus drivers were also excited about the resumption as they are back to their usual competition to fill up their vehicles in a hurry.
For most of the hardworking students, they were excited to be up and back to their various institutions of learning, while some were not happy the holidays was over. The resumption i however not limited to private schools but goverment owned schools are also included.
The traffic on the other hand seem to be moving as officers in uniform help controlled so people could get to their places of assignment early.
Speaking with one of the parents , Mr adeboye,  he stressed that “the traffic was happening this way because it was the first day of resumption” and he believes subsequent days will be much better  if motorists and road users work together to maintain orderliness.
