
NIGERIA (Oyo) - The delegates of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, as part of the college’s training exercise with the theme; “Contribution of internally generated revenue for the development of the state.”
In his welcome address, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Mohammed A. Indabawa, applauded the effort of the college for the healthy ideas it seek to impact on the lives of officers and participants.
“I have always known it to be the training ground of the finest and most honourable officers and gentlemen of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the police, foreign officers and other services,” he said.
While enlightening the delegates, the CP analysed various organisational structure of the police which include, department of finance and administration, operation, logistics and supply, investigation, training, research and planning, along with the department of information and communication technology(ICT).
He told them to be rest assured that all mobile forces are children of the same father.
The Oyo State Police Command in its duties of ensuring detection and prevention of crime, has been able to enforce law and order within its “Community Policing Initiative,” also commend the effort of the state government for its support in ensuring peace in the state by donating three patrol vehicles to the command.
In his response, the spokesman of the college, Brigadier-General Oyebade commends the effort of the state command in bringing stability to the security situation in the state, adding that a state without security cannot enjoy economic development.
