Seven Killed as Bomb Exploded on Highway in Borno State

NIGERIA (Borno)- Seven passengers were killed yesterday night along Gwoza-Madagali road, when an explosive suspected to be planted by members of the Boko Haram Sect exploded immediately the bus got to the point where it was planted.

It was gathered that the IEDs was planted in Kutura village along the Gwoza-Madagali Federal Highway which connect Borno and Adamawa States.

The Toyota branded bus caught fire immediately it exploded and the seven victims died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries.

The incident was confirmed by the Borno State Police Commissioner, Lawal Tanko who said the incident was reported to the Headquarters by the DPO of Gwoza Local Government Area
