Again the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) is announcing a new date for elections into local government and Local Council Development Areas in the state.

A new time-table will be out today.

The elections could not hold as fixed in February 2017 following a an Abuja Federal High Court order instituted by some traditional rulers and community heads over contentious issues in of the newly created LCDAs.

The baales agreed to withdraw the case in December 2017 and the government got the go-ahead to conduct the elections.
