Major crisis rocked the ruling All progressive Congress APC , in Oyo State as a faction of the party over the week end dissociated itself from the inauguration and swore -in of harmonise committee and interim executive council of the party by the South West National Vice Chairman of the party ,Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo in Ibadan .

The group under the defunct Congress for Progress Change (CPC) also named Alhaji Sulaiman Oyeremi as the new State Chairman of the APC in Oyo State. While addressing the gathering Alhaji Oyeremi thanked the members for chosen him to lead the party in the entire 33 local government of Oyo State.

He declared that APC's agenda entered on better the lots of the people but "reverse was the case in Oyo State in the past years”. Oyeremi therefore pleaded with the members to be more patient and give desired supports for the party in the state declaring that by the time their candidate Barrister Adebayo Shittu becomes the governor come 2015 everybody will have course to smile.

Also speaking, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, governorship aspirant of APC in the state, said it was unfortunate that the state was not lucky to have governor that will have the interest of the masses at heart.  He declared that some of them started what the incumbent governor, Senator Ajimobi

is enjoying today since 2010,. Shittu dissociated himself and the group from the inauguration of the harmonised Committee of the APC by the former governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo during the week and described it as purely that of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria ACN with few of it stooges in other parties.

He told the party members at the occasion that thousands of Senator Abiola Ajimobi cannot stop him from contesting the party's ticket as governor of the state with him come 2015. "Although he had appointed former chairman of the party Abideen Oladimeji as commissioner to truncate my ambition this will never come to past. This appointment is personal I learnt that Oladimeji lobbed for it. “I will never disappoint you . Oladimeji has betrayed this group and God will reward him accordingly ".    

According him, "the constitution of APC allows for primaries before a governor or any other candidates can emerge to fly and contest in the name of the party and by the special Grace of God with supports of you people I will definitely contest against Ajimobi and I believe that God shall give me victory over him.”Ajimobi is just wasting the resources of this state, he had used N3 billion of tax payers money to construct less than a kilometre road without paying compensation to anybody whereas thousands of you sons and daughters that graduated from the higher institutions are roaming the streets without jobs. “What about our schools today in the state? We have 150 pupils or in a class today. How can they learn effectively? And some people are saying the education standard is poor. How can't it be poor? I promised that all these with other problems including that of unemployment shall be adequately address immediately I become the governor of this state," he said.
