The ASUU member had on Tuesday, discarded the report that they would soon end the strike as a rumour.

CEOAFRICA gathered that the ASUU member has vowed not to give up until the Federal Government fulfills the agreement it signed with the Academic Staff Union of Universities in 2009.

Many zone of the union has refuted the report, saying that there was no agreement of such that the lecturers would return to the classrooms on Thursday.

Dr. Chidi Osuagwu, the Coordinator of the union in Nsukka zone said the resumption rumour was an embarrassment to ASUU members, appealing that student, parents and guardians should bear with the union for they are pursuing a worthy cause to ensure better university system in the country.
