The Nigerian Police Force, Rivers State Command, has placed an embargo on every political rally in the state as a way of salvaging the present security challenges being confronted in the state.

This was disclosed in a release made available to CEOAFRICA and signed by the State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Ahmad K Muhammad.

He revealed that rallies involving Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI), Save Rivers Movement (SRM), Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation (RIVLEAF) and other groups have been suspended indefinitely.
