The Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Oba Samuel Odulana, Odugade 1, on Monday installed the brother of the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi as the new head of the Ajimobi family of Oja Oba in Ibadan

The Governor’s brother, Hon. Wasiu Adegboyega Ajimobi was installed as the Mogaji (family head) of the renowned Ajimobi family at the Olubadan’s palace in Monatan area, to take over the representation of family at important events and also steer the affairs of the family

During the installation, which was witnessed by the wife of the governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi (JP), the Olubadan enjoined the new Mogaji to always put in mind the fact that his emergence does not mean he is the most qualified, adding that as a young man, he should not disrespect elders in the family

Mrs. Ajimobi also gave words of encouragement to the new family head and prayed for him to be successful in his new position and move to greater heights in the community. Also, members of the Ajimobi family turned out enmasse to support one of their own.

The new Mogaji during the reception at the Ajimobi family house in Oja Oba showed appreciation to his family members and promised not to let them down, adding that he will not engage in any act that will spoil the good reputation of the Ajimobi family.
